  Stephen L. Andorfer 73, of Bluffton passed away at 11:07 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Steve was born on February 12, 1940 in Fort Wayne to Leonard & Blanche (Mock) Andorfer. He graduated from Marmion Academy in Aurora, IL. and went on to attend Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He retired from K-Mart Corporation after 31 years of service in 2002. He was a member of the Uniondale United Methodist Church. On February 16, 1974 at the Uniondale United Methodist Church, Steve married Connie S. (McAfee) Andorfer. They have shared the last 39 years together. Connie survives in Bluffton along with two daughters; Jessica K. (husband Scott) Barla and children Claire & Ava of Skokie, IL, and Kelli J. (husband Christopher) Courtois and children Brody & Rela of Troy, Michigan. Other survivors include siblings; C. Phillip (wife Terry) Andorfer of Fort Wayne, Paul (wife Sue) Andorfer of Springfield, Ohio, Kathy (husband Bill) Kemle of Lizella, GA, a brother-in-law Lynn Funk of New Haven and a sister-in-law Judi Andorfer of Fort Wayne. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lois Funk and a brother B.William Andorfer. A Service to Celebrate Steve's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Uniondale United Methodist Church. Pastor Troy Drayer will officiate. Calling Hours will be held from 11 am to 1 p.m. (the time of the service) on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the Uniondale United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at a later date at Horeb Cemetery in Uniondale.
