  Philip's grandfather, Abraham LeFevre, was born near Strasburg, France in 1632. He and his family being Huguenots (French Protestants) were killed after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes, October 18, 1685, EXCEPT for his third son, *Isaac, then a boy of 16, who escaped to Bavaria and later came to America.
