- Marian J. Fishburn, 75, loving wife, mother and grandmother, Upper Bern Township, passed away Feb. 17, 2009, in Reading Hospital.
Marian was the wife of Le Roy G. Fishburn. Marian and LeRoy were married 59 years.
Born in Penn Township, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Laura (Hoster) Oberly.
Marian was a homemaker, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Marian was a member of Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Church, Bernville.
She is also survived by four sons: George C. Fishburn, Wernersville; Gerald L., husband of Judy Fishburn, Westfi eld; Edward A. Fishburn, Wernersville; and Brian A. Fishburn, Upper Bern Township.
Other survivors include three daughters: Marilyn E., wife of Clark Schaeffer, South Heidelberg Township; Carolyn M., wife of Gene Lutz, Robesonia; and Janice A., wife of Ralph Strunk Jr., Wernersville.
Also surviving are a brother, John Oberly, in Florida; and a sister, Dorothy Oberly, West Reading.
There are also eight grandchildren: Kevin Fishburn, Christy Geisinger, Valerie Stricker, Gregory Lutz, Joshua Sohn, Steffany Sohn, Shawn Strunk and Jessica Lutz; two stepgrandsons, Travis Earhart and Timothy Schaeff er; and four great-grandchildren: Colby Geisinger, Halley Stricker and Dakota and Zander Sohn.
Marian was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa M. Sohn; and a grandson, Scott Fishburn.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, with the Rev. Roderick Sutliff offi ciating. Burial will be in Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Church Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
