- Dorothy Dickinson, 96, of Muscatine, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Bickford Cottage.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Reverend Mary Howell and Reverend Tom Parrott will officiate. Casket bearers will be William Dickinson Jr., Bruce Dickinson, Scott Dickinson, and John Winter. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church.
Dorothy was born on March 12, 1911, in Wilton, the daughter of William A. and Mrytle Kurz Templeman. She married Herbert P. Dickinson on January 31, 1930, in Des Moines. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1992.
She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church and the Muscatine General Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, William S. Dickinson and wife, JoAnn, of Santa Ana, California, and Warren P. Dickinson and wife Marilyn, of Lansing, Illinois; four grandchildren, William S. Dickinson Jr of San Antonio, Texas, Bruce A. Dickinson of Renton, Washington, Scott Dickinson of Tampa, Florida, and Janice Winter of South Beloit, Illinois; and seven great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers.
