Many years ago this cemetery was also called Mellinger's Union Meeting House Cemetery. People were buried at Mellinger's Union Meeting House Cemetery as early as the 1820's.
There is the very old section and a newer section. Many of the old headstones are still standing and can be read as of May 2008. A few are broken or have been moved. There are small stones lined up that are for the most part not readable.
