In 1810, Gottfried Rohrer or Rehrer, founder of Rehrersburg, donated land south of the town of Millersburg (now called Bethel) for the erection of a Reformed Church and burial ground. The first parishioners attended services at BlueMountainChurch in Strausstown and HostChurch in Host, BerksCounty as well as Klopp’s Church in Hamlin, Lebanon County.
